Tips, Tricks, and Tuts Tuesday - Cone Thread holder

I cannot tell you how many times I've gone to a retreat or a sew in and forgot my cone thread holder.  At home I use one like this.

So today on Tips, Tricks, and Tuts Tuesday we've got a solution for a Cone Thread holder on the go; a portable one of sorts.  Here's what you'll need..... 1 single cup.....

Yes any ordinary cup will do.  A styrofoam cup, a solo cup, a coffee cup, a short glass... a cup of any sorts will work.

So now you never have to deal with cone thread that won't feed, rolls all over the table, falls on the floor, or whatever mishap that can occur.  Just put your thread in a cup like this.

I also put my cup to the upper right side of my machine and I lay the thread in front on the spool holder spindle to help guide it along the way.  I hope you can see it in the photo below.

Now I don't even bother to pack just one more thing.  There's always a cup of some sort wherever I'm going.
