This and That Thursday 3-03-16

Hello Thursday and Hello to you too.  It's March already and it came in like a lion here in DeKalb, Illinois.  Where did January and February go?  Actually I don't care where they went; that's 2 months of cold weather behind me now.  I'm ready for spring.  My Texas and Arkansas and even my Missouri friends have been posting pictures of beautiful daffodils and crocus pushing up through the ground and blooming.

Nothing says spring for me like those beautiful yellow daffodils blooming.  But (sigh,) not here, not yet.  In fact, this is what I woke up to this morning.

While there isn't much of it, it's still snow, and it's still cold!  YUCK!   On the bright side, we didn't get the 5" that was in the forecast, just the 1".

On another bright side, I got this email yesterday

Whoo Hoo!!!  This is my fifth time to be included in their 100 Blocks magazine.  Each time I'm sure I won't be included and each time I'm just as excited as I was the first time!  May will be here before you know it so I'd better get busy on my project.   They sponsor a  blog tour with the release of the Magazine.

Boy do I have a lot of top secret projects going on!  It's killing me to keep them all a secret from you.  There are exciting things going on in the Queen's Palace.  One of them is this....

And another one is this...

And there's this

And this is just the tip of the iceburg.  So I do hope you'll stick around and come back for all the reveals coming soon.  I think you're gonna like them!  Oh and yesterday was Texas Independence Day.  I completely forgot about it until I was on Facebook late last night.  I'll have something to post about that tomorrow.  Better late than never, right?

  1. I live in Northern Indiana...east of South Bend. My back patio looks like your deck. My daylily are peaking out, but they are next to the foundation of the house. Must be warm there.

Congrats on your block being published.

  2. Spring is just around the corner! I was out for a walk yesterday and the mistletoe is even in bloom down here in Tx! I think I got a good picture of it for my next post. Have a wonderful Friday and an awesome weekend! Congratulations on having your block selected! All your secret projects look scrumptious! XO
