Leaving on a Jet Plane

I've been MIA (missing in action) for a few days.  Well, not really.  I've just been missing from posting anything here.  We left on Thursday for a short Spring Break get away to Warm and Sunny San Antonio.

William took these photos from the plane, above the clouds.  It's it majestic!

We flew through a very large storm.  The ride was a bit turbulent.  Okay, it was a lot turbulent!  It was the worst I've experienced!

But it was all worth the rough ride in the end.

An awesome view!

Entertainment from the Mariachi Band...

Even quilting inspiration in the tile in the Mexican Restaurant!

The ducks sure were enjoying the warm, sweet sunshine.

A preview of the river barge floats for the St. Patty's Celebration Parade later.

The guy on the end with the wand in his hand is turning the river green for St. Patty's.

Tuesday I'll be back in the frozen tundra and back to work.  I picked up another round of quilts while I was in Texas.  Apparently my customers miss me!  :)

  1. What a wonderful getaway! I've only been to San Antonio once and loved it.

  2. Oh it looks like you had a great time. I'm always glad to see someone get to take a break and relax! Lucky you. Great pics too.

  3. Welcome to San Antonio! Home to you, isn't it? Looks like we're in for some good weather! Enjoy!

  4. I was jealous for a minute, so glad you had a great time. Thanks for sharing the great photos.
