Robbie Joy Eklow Trunk Show

Monday night I joined Prairie Star Quilt Guild.  I've visited a couple of times.  You might remember reading about it here and here.  My friend Mary at I Piece 2 Mary is a member as well as Elvira Illig, a fellow longarmer that reached out to me when I first moved to DeKalb.  Prairie Star Quilt Guild meets in St. Charles IL (about 30 miles from me) and has an evening meeting as well as a daytime meeting.  I like having the flexibility to choose evening or daytime.

The guest speaker on Monday was Robbie Joy Eklow.  You can find her website here.  This is her latest quilt Kenophobia.

Robbie hand dyes almost all of the fabrics used in her quilts.

I didn't get the name of this one ...

Or this one ...

Groovy Guitars Too ...

Missed the name of this one too ....

And this one...

Apparently I missed the name of several quilts.  I was too busy drooling over the patterns, and colors, and quilting.  What can I say?

Steampunk Sublime 2 ...

Art Deco...  Take not of the quilting in the border.  The applique of the gears stopped but the quilting continued the shape of the gear.

Look at the quilting...  all I can say is fabulous, awesome....

These are a few of the patterns she had for sale.

I was in complete awe of all of her quilts.  They were fabulous!  I was so glad I went and am excited about the lineup of guest speakers they have lined up for 2016-2017.  You can count on more quilted eye candy in the future.
