Modern Millie Quilt

One of my first things on my itinerary in San Antonio was to take the Modern Millie Quilt Class using the Quick Curve Ruler.  One of my friends was teaching it at another friends studio.

I posted my color choices on Instagram if you follow me there, but if you don't, here they are.

I'm all set to sew some blocks.

Guess we need to cut the components first.

Whoo Hoo, one flower petal sewn.

140 flower petals complete....

Four flower petals make one flower block.

I only complete 4 blocks in class

But 2 days later, 35 flower blocks make a complete quilt top 70" x 100".  I couldn't get the whole quilt top on the design board and get a good photo.  I promise I'll take a better one in a couple of days.

These are Marilyn's blocks

And these are Cathy's blocks.  I love her solid alternating block that really isn't solid.

We had a great time with old friends. Renea, Brenda, Cathy, The Queen herself, and Marilyn.

Yes, I successfully created another Flimsy.  Guess that's better than another UFO!
