Art Satchel Factory

I feel like I'm working in an Art Satchel Factory.  I've made 3 of these this year.  I don't even have to look at the directions anymore!

They are really quite handy for a mom kid on the go.  There are 2 zipper pockets on the left to hold supplies like crayons and markers plus a mesh pocket.  There is a chalkboard on the right. There is a pocket behind the pockets to slip in a coloring book and there is another pocket behind the chalkboard for another coloring book or drawing pad.

The one from the Pink Camo Fabric is for Oaklyn.  She's not quite 2 but her momma told me she wanted it.  I made Oaklyn's big sister, Ryelyn one last year for Christmas.  Their momma says they take it to church every Sunday and it would be nice for each girl to have her own so they wouldn't fight over it. You can read about the ones I made last year here.

This one made from Minion fabric is for my nephew Braxton.  He's 4.

This one from Hello Kitty fabric is for Josie.  I can't believe I found a Daniel the Tiger coloring book to put in it.  She loves Daniel the Tiger!

I've made one for everyone except Raleigh, Kameron and Emmett.  I really intended to make one for Raliegh this year but you know how that goes.  Kameron and Emmett are only 2 so there's still plenty of time next year.

Josie likes to make cookies with me so I made her a cute little apron.  William had to model it.  I think it's a little too small for him.  I also bought Josie a little pink rolling pin.  I knew I had it at home a couple of days ago.  When I went to wrap gifts,  I couldn't find that rolling pin anywhere.  I searched high and low.  Today I got an email from one of my quilting customers saying "I was so excited about the quilt arriving that I forget to mention there were a couple of items in the box that I'm thinking slipped in accidentally.  One is a diploma  from Benton, Arkansas for Hollie Liles.  The other is a cute little silicone rolling pin."  Now how did I manage to do that!!!!  Oh well, at least I figured out where the rolling pin went.  Who knows how long it would have been before I missed Hollie's Diploma.  I had  it out because Hollie needed a copy for a job she was applying for (which she was successful in landing!!!).  I had made a copy and had it in my hand to put it back where it belonged.  Guess I never made it back to the proper place.

I didn't get everything I wanted to get done before Christmas but thought I was doing good by getting everything that "had" to be made.  I realized after I got to Mom and Dad's that I forgot one gift that I really "had" to make.  I'll have to give her an IOU!  And here I thought I was going to have a year without any IOU's.  I won't give it away yet as I know she reads my blog.

Merry Christmas Eve to Everyone.
