Allietare Mystery Clue #2

I don't know how I did it, but I got the Allietare Mystery Clue #2 with Bonnie Hunter at Quiltville's Quips & Snips.  Clue #2 came out on Friday before I was leaving to head back to DeKalb.  Anytime I'm at my parent's house in Missouri, there is always a hit and miss chance that I'll get any sewing time in.  And this time was a miss.  After I got home, I needed to hit the ground running as I had a large custom quilt that needed quilting plus several others that came in the mail while I was gone.  Guess what?  I didn't hit the ground running... I hit the ground Monday morning with a cold and I felt like I'd been run over by a truck.  Ugh!  I didn't have time for this!  And I sure wasn't going to be able to keep up with the Allietare Mystery.

But somehow I did... I got the custom quilt finished.  Maybe not in the timeframe I was hoping for, but it's finished and I got Allietare Mystery Clue #2 finished.  I'll share photos of the custom quilt later; after my customer receives it.

Allietare Mystery Clue #2 - 20 sets of 4 matching decapitated geese.  Some called them santa hats on the Quiltville's Open Studio Facebook page. Keep in mind my constant gray is black.  You can find clue #2 here.

I also picked up a few more reds for the Allietare Mystery.
