This time the pattern is called Gifty Boxes. Bonnie made her pattern in red's and greens for a Christmas kind of theme. I wanted to do a completely different color way. My first thought was to do Gifty Boxes like Birthday Gifty Boxes and do bright colors. And then I thought again... what about doing them in my retro kitchen color of turquoise blue and red. I needed a table topper that would coordinate with my other retro things I made. You might remember them...
Here is my table topper.
A few scrappy hour glass blocks
Some brick strips
And a Retro Gifty Boxes block.
I actually made 2 different Retro Gifty Boxes blocks. This one above and then another one substituting red strips for the turquoise blue strips.
And a Retro Gifty Boxes table topper
I love how they make a cute pinwheel when set together.
Some turquoise binding
And some retro gingham backing and custom quilting.
I love the Retro Gifty Boxes and it looks perfect on my table.
Doris, these are great! Love that block! I'll just bet you've had lots of fun with this project. You did it so well, I'm sure there will be more opportunities in the future. XO
