I'm doing mine in .... wait for it... yes, red/white/blue. I really don't have very many blocks completed. There are 13 - 4 1/2" blocks in each row and there are 13 rows total plus the border triangles. I have all the blocks completed in row A except for A13. It's a doozie of a block. I got stuck there and quit. That was back in 2013. I told you it's been a long time!
I got it back out again and skipped A13 and did a few block in row B.
Ugh, A13 is still staring me in the face....
Fast forward to November 2015... I needed a hand piecing project to take to Arizona, just in case I had a few extra minutes. I'm glad I dug Dear Jane out and took along some blocks to work on, including A13.
Here is what I got done. Whoo Hoo! A13 is finished. I can't say I'm extremely happy with the workmanship on A13 but I can say I'm extremely happy it's finished!

I must be crazy to attempt such an intense insane project. But I'm in no hurry to finish it. It may be a 10 year project! lol And if one Dear Jane wasn't punishment enough, I actually bought a Dear Jane UFO about 4 years ago. It was a 30's theme. I can't remember what I paid for it; I think maybe $75. There were 3 completed rows and a completed triangle row plus 50 fat quarters. As soon as I catch up with the red/white/blue Dear Jane to the point of the 30's Dear Jane, I'll do 2 blocks at a time, one for the red/white/blue Dear Jane and one for the 30's Dear Jane. Do you think I'll live long enough for that? Oh Dear.... Jane...
I think I need to get my Dear Jane out. It too may take a long time to finish. Then again, maybe I should just finish what I have. I like the idea of yours being in red, white and blue. It is an amazing quilt.
