Here are a few of my favorite blocks.
Phyllis is a new customer but a long time family acquaintence from my hometown are of Vernon County, Missouri is a new quilter. I've known her since I was a little girl and remember her and her family from my 4-H days back in the 70's. I think Phyllis has always sewn, but had just recently taken up quilting. She was taking a beginner's sampler class from her local quilt shop when she had an accident and had to put her quilting on hold for almost a year. She is thankfully recovered and is back at it again. I think she's done a fabulous job!
I can't wait to get more quilts from her in the future. When she came to pick it up she offered to take anything back to Nevada for me. I wanted to say "how about I jump in the vehicle with you". She would have gladly let me but the King might have missed me come dinner time.
I'm linking up with Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts on her Let's Bee Social Wednesday. Go buzz around in some of the hives and see what's going on.
She learned lots of skill building making this beauty!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is so yummy. And the quilting is like the icing on the cake! Bet you two had a great time visiting. Glad to hear you have an old friend who is also a new quilter!
