Last night was DeKalb County Quilter's Guild and we had a guest speaker. I'll post about that this weekend. Tonight I'm off to a little social time with some quilty friends. My friend Julie is hosting a "Wine Coaster" class. All we have to bring is a bottle of our favorite beverage and $20. She's providing the supplies and sewing machine. She said she might have to have a designated driver for the sewing machine though. It should be lots of fun.

ReplyDeleteI seriously need to get to working on my sewing room again to get it organized somehow. I now have a HUGE reason to get it done now though. Today I went to my local Viking dealer and paid for a new machine which is on order for me and will hopefully be here soon. I'm super excited because I do have two other embroidery machines but both were purchased used. This machine is brand new and the bigger bonus is not only is it another embroidery machine but this one does much larger designs than both my other machines, but even better is that I will now have just slightly under 10 inches in the throat area to the right of the needle to have a much easier time to do quilting if I ever get to that point.
ReplyDeleteSo, I guess the short answer to what I am doing this weekend is spending a little chunk o' money. :)
It sounds like you're probably having lots of fun yourself.
This weekend I hope to get into my workroom and do a little reorganizing so that I can start on Halloween projects!
ReplyDeleteI am working on a pumpkin themed table runner and wall hanging as gifts for family members.
