Of course, those who really know me know I rarely clean but when I do, I really do get distracted by all the cool stuff I find.
Recently I found this, however I wasn't cleaning. I was looking for something else and I ran across this...
I pulled it out with the thought that it would be a quick and easy project and then I thought about my to-do list. So then I thought again and decided someone else should make this, someone who would win it on Freebie Friday.
It's a complete kit for a table runner, including backing and binding. Just leave me a comment and tell me anything you'd like to say... as long as it's nice. You have until September 1st to do so. I'll use random number generator to pick a winner. Be sure to leave me an email if you're a "no-reply commenter". If I can't contact you, you can't win.
And speaking of winners. I need to pick a winner for my last Freebie Friday.
such a fun give a way. LOL I am pretty sure I am the same way with distractions.

Lori, I've sent you an email requesting your address. Thanks for following along and leaving me a sweet comment.
I'm also linking up with the Giveaway Roundup. Go check it out. There are lots of giveaways going on out there in blog land.
I'm the same way!!! I get distracted way too easily.
ReplyDeleteBlues and yellows make one of my favorite color combination.
What a nice way to share such a great prize. I love the blue/yellow combo, it's one of my favorites and I sure do know about UFO's and to do lists-you don't want to see all the quilt tops I have sewn into rows and stopped. I have to get busy and finish each one. They are hanging in my back closet and mock me every time I go in there! I get distracted too!
ReplyDeleteI can certainly empathize with you. Waaaay too much cool stuff in my sewing room to keep me focused on one project for very long. Maybe that's why my WIP pile keeps growing. On a different note, just today I went to a fabric sale at a friend's house. Her sister-in-law passed away in March and they were selling all of her sewing supplies. Turns out she was a massive fabric hoarder. She had fabric (all good, designer brands) stashed in cabinets, tubs, drawers, even in the trunk of her car. It took 3 people 2 weeks to go through it all and get it ready for a sale. All fabric was 10 cents an inch. Yards and yards of beautiful stuff. I came home with a bag full of goodies including fabric, thread, patterns, trim, quilting templates and a great big smile. Makes me wonder what my family will do with my stash when I pass, even though I'm no where near that level. (I really need and love your table runner kit!)
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of those moment....probably why I don't get much done.....
ReplyDeleteI even get distracted when weeding the flower gardens. I love the blue and yellow combination.
ReplyDeleteI'm a person who has close to a photographic memory and know exactly where each piece of fabric, pattern or ruler is and where I purchased it. Since I can do this I don't clean and organize that often so don't get distracted. For me to find cool stuff I have to go out shopping and find it or be lucky enough to win it. lol
ReplyDeleteSomething else nice is that the weather here in KC is just about as perfect as possible and has been for the last two days. I love knowing that Fall is on it's way. Rina
Hello from the MO Ozarks. I would give the table runner a good home!

I like that sign! I should get one to hang in my house. Ha ha! Ive never made a quilt before so something small like a table runner might be a good start.
ReplyDeleteLove the sign! I remember one my grandma had hanging in her kitchen that said
ReplyDelete"As soon as the rush is over, I’m going to have a nervous breakdown. I worked for it; I owe it to myself; and nobody is going to deprive me of it." Kinda funny.
Love the colors in that little kit -- what a fun surprise!

Table runners are so useful on any table!! They jazz up a room and can be changed to match any mood. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI always get distracted...and when I pull out a quick project it sits for a long time.lol
ReplyDeleteI get distracted constantly - I feel your pain! x
ReplyDeleteThat sign fits me too. The colors in that table runner are very pretty together. We are getting ready for fall and winter in ND. Spring and summer is way too short!! I don't like it when it gets dark at 5 pm. kthurn@bektel.com
ReplyDeletehi, I love surprises! and I don't have a table runner (yet) for my dining room table. I am a new quilter-at a late stage in life so I think I would appreciate a nicely together kit. have a nice day

Love that sign- my 3 year old little guy also very prone to that (he takes after me- proud mama). I appreciate quick easy projects since I tend to sew for a sense of accomplishment and seeing the final product! Thanks! Sarah: crjandsbj(at) netzero(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI love the sign. I think it fits me too. I always find another piece of fabric when I am hunting for something specific. And then I get side tracked. Those snap sacks are so much fun.
ReplyDeleteLOL I go looking for something and find stuff to clean which leads me in a whole different direction! Oh how I wish I had a live-in cleaning lady/cook! I could get so much more accomplished in the quilting room!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, distractions.....they're so much fun!

I just love a sack. Especially from a shop or an individual. Thank you

ReplyDeleteWow..how lucky are you to have 'found' something like that...when I am cleaning I on.y seem to find dust, more durst, kids' discarded shoes and all the other forgotten things from the day. To be able to have an excuse to forget about all that...and sew...would be great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.
Best wishes

ReplyDeleteCleaning is NOT my favorite thing but there is a lot of that going on around here these days....moving home to Early from Mullin....so cleaning out....hopefully I will use this opportunity to throw away unnecessary items and clutter! You know I love any kind of table runner.....and my new kitchen/dining room is blue and yellow....so I really need you to pick my number! Thanks for sharing such good give-aways!
ReplyDeleteMust admit I'd much rather be sewing than cleaning. Maybe I should start cleaning a bit more, you never know what I might find. Love the look of the colours of the table runner. Thanks for the chance. lyn.robyn.smith@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteI have become expert at not noticing anything that needs cleaning - I'd rather be quilting. The fabric colours look great.and I would probably make the table runner.

When my kids were little I figured out a mental list to prioritize chores that helps me even today: Feed everyone. dishes. laundry. clutter. floors. Everything else gets done whenever. If I only got to the first thing, we'd still all survive. :) sarah@forrussia.org
