Quilting Eye Candy 05-13-15

Yesterday I was run through the wringer... I went to a new doctor here in DeKalb.  I really like her.  She is very personable and quite obvious she's caring.  She is very passionate about medicine and is so thorough.  She ordered a bone density test, a mammogram, all kinds of blood tests, an xray of my elbows that have been in constant pain since before the move, gave me a tetanus shot, and recommended I get a shingles shot.  Wow, she only missed a colonoscopy and a pap smear; which I only have to have every 2-3 years and this year isn't the year... thank goodness!  Now that may have been a little too much information for you in a quilting post!  And since I've scarred you for life, how about some fun stuff like some Quilting Eye Candy.

Kathleen has been busy again... She's a full time school teacher  plus works part-time and B&B Quilting in Buda Texas.  I'm sure she just couldn't resist this story book panel.

She also made this Texas Theme Quilt.  At first I thought she might have used a layer cake but but I don't think she did after all.... the measurements were close but just didn't add up.

Lane made this quilt for her granddaughter who is graduating Pre-K.  It is just too much fun.  I bet it brought back great memories for Lane when she was a little girl.  Did you learn to read with "Dick and Jane" books?  I did....

The above photo is the front of the quilt and the one below is the back of the quilt...

I love how she personalized the backing with her embroidery.

Anita may have gone out of her box on this one.  She usually does Civil war reproductions or batiks.  I really like the bright spring colors of it.

Hope you enjoyed the Quilting Eye Candy.  Have a great rest of the week.
