Happy Mother's Day to all of you. I hope your day has been filled with many blessings.
Yesterday I worked in my yard again. William and The King topped my day off with this wonderful hanging basket for me for Mother's Day. I spotted it at one of my many visits to the local nurseries here. I thought the container was so unique. It filled with petunias, verbena, and another flower I don't recognize. But there are lots of flowers up here I don't recognize and have never planted.
Then today they took me to one of my favorite restaurants On The Border for late lunch. I didn't do diddly squat all day but I guess that's okay. It was a great, relaxing day.
Hollie called me and we chatted for almost an hour on the phone. I can hardly wait for her to get back into the states! That will be a wonderful Mother's Day gift from her.
Drew also called but you know boys don't chat nearly as long as daughters do. My day was complete at the ending of the phone call when he put Josie on the phone and she said the sweetest words a Nana could hear "Happy Mother's Day Nana".
I can't forget about a very special lady that came into my life 20+ years ago. I couldn't ask for a nicer mother-in-law.
Of course I made my phone call to the Greatest Mom on Earth. I posted this throwback picture of her with my 2 sisters and my dad on Facebook earlier today. It wasn't the one I was really looking for but you also know it's in a box somewhere! The King commented that there must have been a sale on the fabric for those dresses. I informed him most likely there was as mom had to be a thrifty shopper with 3 little girls back then. And it was the finest double knit money could buy! She made all 4 of those dresses (while us girls were doing the dishes and laundry I'm sure)! LOL.
I don't get all sentimental and mushy very often so here's what I have to say to my mom.
And P.S. thanks for not strangling me. I'm sure I gave you many reasons to do so more than once! Love you bunches Mom!
