Tasteful Thursday (On Friday) - Sweet Garlic Chicken

Hello quilters and other readers. You guys and gals are in for a special treat today. This post is brought to you by William (aka - Webmaster, Court Jester, or whatever else my mother has called me on here.) I hope everyone is having a wonderful day, and if you are not I hope this post will help.

Now on to the post. Today I am bringing you Tasteful Thursday which so happens to be on a Friday because we already had a post on Thursday due to the Tammy For All Seasons Blog Hop. Mom and I plan on doing this every Thursday as long as nothing interferes with it. So on to today's Tasteful Thursday, which is a Sweet Garlic Chicken recipe with my own little twist. I am going to cover all the ingredients and instructions on how to prepare this delightful meal. So lets hop right into it.

Ingredients: Sweet Garlic Chicken

1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 pound boneless and skinless chicken breasts. (If they are big cut them in half)
2 large eggs beaten

Sweet Garlic Sauce:
1/2 cup Agave Nectar
4 cloves of garlic minced
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of cornstarch

* In a small or medium sauce pan over medium to high heat, combine your agave nectar, garlic and soy sauce. Then in a separate bowl mix the cornstarch and water and then add it to the mixture. Stir mixture into the saucepan until thickened. Once thickened set aside.

* Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.

* In a large bowl mix the flour, thyme, oregano, paprika, and cayenne pepper.

* Season chicken with salt and pepper, to taste. Working one at a time, dredge chicken in flour mixture, dip into eggs, the dredge in flour mixture again, pressing to coat.

* Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until evenly golden and crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

* Serve immediately with sweet garlic sauce.

* Time 30-45 minutes depending on how fast you are. Enjoy!!!

This is how our magnificent meal turned out. You can serve it with whatever you like, we decided to serve it on a bed of wild rice. Mom and I both agree that it was amazing (Other than the fact that our rice was a little crunchy - FYI The Queen was in charge of the rice.)

I hope this wonderful and elegant meal brightened your day or will down the road if you decide to try it. I hope you guys and gals liked the first Tasteful Thursday post. There will be many more to come with many more amazing recipes. This has been William with this wonderful Sweet Garlic Chicken, I hope to see you next time.
