It didn't seam like I accomplished much in 2014. It seemed like I spent all my time running up and down the road from Texas to Missouri... and I certainly did do that a lot! However I apparently stayed home or at least sat in front a sewing machine long enough to finish a few things. Maybe it didn't seem like much was accomplished because I didn't finish one single UFO that I had on my list for 2014. I did manage to add several more to the list though! Guess there's always 2015!
Here's a recap of some things finished in 2014...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I got more accomplished than I expected due in part to attending my first ever retreat in October. Now with retreats in February and next October
ReplyDeleteIt has been fun/interesting following you this last year. No I did not get what I wanted to get accomplished, for the fact that our son proposed last December so that blew my list out of the water. I have been doing mostly wedding sewing after they decided what they wanted and what colors.

Unfortunately, I didn't get as much accomplished in 2014 as I had hoped, but I am getting caught up on my UFOs. It looks like you got a lot done. Thank you for sharing with us! Have a happy new year! cknapp3626@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeletewow! That's a lot
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of quilts! I accomplished some pretty cool stuff in 2014 but not the volume of stuff I wanted. :). I've got a lot more wips now though!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I ran into some health problems last year which interfered with my quilting. But I'm back and hope to get a several quilts completed within the first few months of the new year!!
ReplyDeleteMy year took a turn that I didn't envision and changed my regular routine. I had a long time away from the sewing room, yet when I think back to what I did accomplish I am pleasantly surprised! Your accomplishments are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI was BUSY all year long.....but I always have MORE to do on my "to do list"! Hopefully this next year I will be more diligent to complete more quilts. Always love seeing your accomplishments and reading of your adventures.<3
ReplyDeleteI didn't get as much as I wanted to accomplish....to many distractions....but it is going to be a new year....and I hope to get way way more accomplished this year.....wooooooooooooo hooooooooooooo

ReplyDeleteI didn't get as much accomplished as I had hoped, but there is always next year! Best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI finished some UFOs plus my 3 sisters & I did a group quilt & entered it in a quilt show. I also made some donation baby quilts. But I still have lots of UFOs to tackle next year. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteOf course I never finish as much as I plan to finish. I'm impressed with all your finishes--especially that graduate project!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
You really got a lot finished. I doubt that there has ever been a year when I have finished all I hoped to do. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteI did great the first half of the year finishing 12 old ufo's. The last couple of months, not as much sewing as I would have liked.
ReplyDeleteI rediscovered quilting this year and I was able to finish 2 quilts for gifts and hae plans for a few in 2015! You work is amazing- love the Geese Circling NY and the denim quilts. Thanks! Sarah: crjandsbj(at)netzero(dot)com
ReplyDeleteWell I didn't make any set goals, but I did complete all the projects I started except for one.. so I'm happy
ReplyDeleteYou sure had a busy and productive year, Doris! Looking forward to seeing what is to come in 2015! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteWow! You accomplished a lot! And your creations are beautiful! I got two quilts and several pouches and pillows done, but that wasn't nearly what I hoped to accomplish. But on the other hand, I did spend a lot of time playing with my four-year-old granddaughter. I can always quilt, but she will only be little for a short time. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay that was a huge amount of finishes, and you wanted to do more, WOW! My finishes are like 1/8 th of yours. And how did I miss the Geese Circling New York wall hanging AMAZING! lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow you sure got a lot done and each one is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for the giveaway too. I've also shared your giveaway on my Giveaway List for sewers & quilters at wowilikethat.com. Thanks again. (debbie at wowilikethat dot com)
ReplyDeleteI'm totally impressed with your 2014 accomplishments! No, I didn't get near everything finished that I wanted to make but as you said there is always 2015. Thanks very much for the giveaway! b.j.day68@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing all your projects-they are wonderful! You mentioned your Traffic Jam pattern for free-where do I find it, I really like that one a lot!
ReplyDeleteYou accomplish allot. I'm still stuck in basting. Happy New Year! 24Tangent@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteYour projects are amazing! Such beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteI bought a sewing machine, took a class and made my first pieced top so I am happy with what I accomplished this year!
No I didnt:-( I have severe arthritis and neuropathy so there are days I can't do much!!!!!! I am hoping for a better year though!!!!!! sonjasmith76@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteWow- you got a lot more done than I did. I finished three quilts and two pillows- and was pretty happy with that!
ReplyDeleteallisonpogany@gmail.com
You definitely got a lot accomplished!
ReplyDeleteI got quite a few things accomplished, but I always like to get more done =)
I did not get as much accomplished as I hoped, but this year I have already started planning. I am new at sewing in general, but even newer at quilting. I want to make my first quilt this year. Happy New Year! dawnm1993(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteNo accomplishments in 2014 spent half of the year in the hospital
ReplyDeleteI am happy with what I accomplished. It also doesn't feel like much to me (and compared to your list, it isn't!) but I was focusing on making gifts instead of buying them, and I did a smashing job on that! sarah@forrussia.org
ReplyDeleteI didn't accomplish that much, but I'm still here, so I guess that's something! Hopefully 2015 will be more fruitful.
ReplyDeleteI didn't accomplish half as much as you! I hope to do better in 2015!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new sewer/quilter, so at this point any work I do is good work...though in this upcoming year I am really hoping to up my game a do a ton!
ReplyDeleteYou did wonderful! I had a very good sewing year after a slow start -- hoping to get a quick start this year.
ReplyDeleteI need to go through my pictures to see what I did get done this year. I know I finished some ufos and started more!! Thanks Julie
ReplyDeleteWow! You were a busy stitcher in 2014! Awesomely beautiful projects, everyone of them! I did manage to accomplish several things, but if I just finished the binding on about 3 small quilts, I'd be a happier camper. 2015 will be more progressive, for sure. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI love stripes. I am old so I just go with the flow. I don't get upset if I don't finish something when someone else thinks I should. My timeline these days. That said I think I got a lot done last year at a reasonable pace.
ReplyDeleteLove all your pictures. You have been a busy lady the last year. I didn't get too many things done, but 2015 is going to be my year for getting some UFO's done. We are going to miss you.
ReplyDeletedkrevay@hotmail.com
Wow - you have quite a lot of finshes to be proud of! Me ... not so much this year but tomorrow is another day and I have some plans to be more organized this year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Doris and all your readers!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on such a successful 2014 and may 2015 be just as plentiful if not more so.
I joined a Quilting Guild in 2014 and met a whole lot of like minded women. It was really encouraging to discuss my quilting adventures with others who understood my interest. I completed several challenges that were suggested at the meetings and finished a queen sized quilt that I started a couple of years ago. All in all, I accomplished heaps and my skills have improved throughout the year. Lots of fun!

Such a consistency u have made. I didnt get my quilt done on last year. I' m just a beginner with a bunch of curiousity.will learn so much from the expert. My email is elfira_lia@yahoo.com.thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteYou have done so many things! I am very impressed :) As I only started sewing in the summer, I don't think I can compare haha! I have made several things this year, but I hope to make many more this coming year! nnonaihr@hotmail.co.uk
ReplyDeleteI wanted to try 3 new things last year, and I managed 4. I tried curved piecing, paper piecing, appliqué and free motion quilting.
ReplyDeletejen dot barnard at btinternet dot com
I did not get nearly as much done as I wanted this year. I was sewing in a corner of my kitchen, but I have moved my sewing room down into our basement apartment! So now I can sew until I drop! :) Hopefully will get a whole lot more done this year.
ReplyDeletecraftyccain@gmail.com
Yes I accomplished a lot in 2014, Three I Spy quilts, 9 purses, clothes for my 2 year old granddaughter and much more.
ReplyDeleteAlso Is that a MSU Bears quilt I noticed. I live in southern MO and both of my children graduated from MSU!
I am lucky to have a lot of time that I can spend quilting, so I am pleased with how much I accomplished. I've had a break for some holiday travel and now I'm ready to start 2015 projects.
ReplyDeleteI really didn't finish many projects last year, but I opened my own business and have spent more time there and less time at home.
ReplyDeleteGiven that I had a baby in 2014, I suppose I got as much done as could be expected. I would have loved to have done more, and hopefully in 2015 I will! I still have a whole swag of fabric sitting on my sewing room floor waiting to be cut out/sewn up...
ReplyDeleteI picked up this wonderful hobby this past year, so I feel pretty good about what I finished! I finished the quilt tops for my twin boys the day before they were born. I also made a casserole carrier, apron, and jewelry roll, all gifts.
ReplyDeleteI have two specific quilts that I would like to make this year, and I am sure that other projects will come along!
Jackiethompson323(at)gmail.com
I accomplished quite a bit this past year and now that my sewing room is organized better , I am sure I will create lots of items and quilts this year, off to a good start already, onto my 3rd baby quilt in 2 weeks. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleterhona45@hotmail.com
You had a lot of finishes! I did not have as many as I needed, but that just means there'll be that many more finishes this year! :)
ReplyDeleteWOW you are amazing! Seriously. I just love your Geese Circling New York wall hanging. And, no, I never accomplish nearly what I would like darnit!
ReplyDeleteI am so impressed! I have no idea how you managed so much in a year! Chapeau.
ReplyDeleteI would have liked to have made a lot more quilts in 2014 but I am planning to make up for it this year!
I never accomplish as much as I would like, but I did accomplish more than I realistically thought I would! You have accomplished an AMAZING number of beautiful projects!!
ReplyDelete2014 was a very busy year for me. I plan on incorporating a lot more time on what I would like to do this year. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteA lot more sewing
ReplyDeleteThe Open Space pattern is perfect for using these rulers! I really want to play with the x-block templates to make one!
