How about this signed book I got at Market. I had the hardest time trying to decide which book to give away. I really liked it, but it was my intention to give it away to some lucky blog reader when I got it signed. (sigh)
Heather was a delight to meet.
Isn't it funny that inspiration comes for the most ordinary things.
This one was probably my favorite.... I'm not a martini drinker so maybe because it reminds me of margarita glasses... :)
Just leave me a comment and tell me what gives you inspiration? I'll use the random number generator to pick a winner next Saturday, November 21st. It's open to anyone, I'll even ship internationally.
If you see my baby sister Jacque, tell her Happy Birthday! Today is her birthday. I won't tell you how old she is but I will tell you she's 8 years younger than I am. HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACQUE! Here's to many more!
I get most inspiration by perusing quilting blogs, quilting magazines and sometimes just a piece of fabric. Now I just need more time so I can work on all the projects that inspire me. tgreen@asis.com
ReplyDeleteWhat inspires me most is nature. Taking long walks and seeing the colors that Mother Nature has put together makes me see things differently when I get back to my sewing room. I tend to get stuck in my color choices, but knowing that nature has a way of combining unusual colors gives me a new look!
ReplyDeleteMy little girlies and sewing/quilting blogs are my main inspiration. I'm such a copycat, but there is so much talent out there, it's easy to find inspiration. Thanks for the sweet giveaway.
ReplyDeleteColor and fabric give me inspiration. I have a big stash and some times I'll spend hours just looking through it remembered all the pretties waiting for me and then bam I remember a pattern I've seen or purchased that would look perfect in that fabric and I am on my way doing my favorite thing. I'm just getting into to modern quilts and that book looks like something I need to check out even if I don't win it from you.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny for me, I can't develop an idea out of thin air.. I can loo at pictures and say I like it or I don't and try to identify the reasons. I will usually take that pattern or project onto photoshop and tweak it just a little
ReplyDeleteThis book looks so intriguing! I am still new to this quilting bit but I get inspiration from other projects on Instagram and blogs...my husband is already telling me his vision for his first quilt so I'll be needing to gather some inspiration to see that one through :)
ReplyDeleteMy little sister is 8 years younger than me also. I remember having to take her everywhere with me when I was a teenager and hating it. Now I take her with me on fabric hunting road trips. lol I'm inspired by just about anything, buildings nature, colors, the weather, animals, seasons even advertising packaging. Is it odd that I see quilt patterns everywhere I look? The book looks wonderful and thank you for the chance to win it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely book!! Quilting blogs give me inspiration!
ReplyDeleteInspiration for me comes from a walk in the woods. Birds, animals, flowers, bugs. They all make me want to sew. If that doesn't work I just read a few bloggers or Bing quilts. Happy Birthday baby sister!
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by all things visual especially Pinterest, Craftsy, blogs, Facebook posts, quilt shows and amazingly beautiful fabrics

ReplyDeleteMy quilts are custom for whoever I'm making them for. Most recently soccer.
ReplyDeleteAlmost anything could become inspiration for me. Because I find interesting shapes and color combinations everywhere I go, a camera and graph paper are always with me for documenting design ideas. For example, a company logo sparked an idea that became a baby quilt, although the quilt did not end up looking like the logo. I now have a small personal reference library of inspirational photos and drawings that could keep me busy for the rest of my life and then some. -- soparkaveataoldotcom
