I think I'm Popeye the Sailor Man after wrestling this denim quilt #2 Citrus Peel.  Wait no, I think my arms feel more like Olive Oil and I need to be rescued by Popeye.

Now this is one LARGE pile of denim!

I felt like I was trying to push a square peg through a round hole.... or is it a round peg through a square hole?   Anyway, I now need a massage and a chiropractor for my neck and shoulders!

And yes, two halves do make a hole and just need to finish off the edge.  I turned the quilt over to the back and drew a line to go by so that I didn't have a wonky edge... hopefully!  :)

And ta da!  Here it is finished.  Just need to wash it so the edges will fray.

  1. I made one of these as an I Spy quilt for a great nephew with a different print in each square. It is not as large but was big enough that I definitely feel your pain. It has been a well loved floor and outdoor quilt. I have also seen one with different textures of fabric for a little one to touch and feel. Great job you did!

  2. Doris, this is simply incredible...must me heavy ....

  3. Fabulous! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Heavy quilts!!!!
