SPRING TABLE RUNNER UPDATE

I posted last week about making a SPRING TABLE RUNNER for my sister and showed you the flower head blocks.  I did finish the top before I left to come to Missouri,  but with my knee, I didn't get it quilted.  By the way, I went to an orthopedic doctor today in Fort Scott KS and I got some really great news about my knee.  He didn't do an MRI yet.  He didn't feel it was necessary.  He thought it was a torn legiment in my knee and told me it was just going to take a while to heal.  It IS doing better, just not much to brag about.  He gave me exercises to do twice daily as well.  I'm to go back in 3 weeks unless I think I don't need to or unless I think it's not getting any better; at which time I should go back sooner.  I'm going to go with the optomistic route and say that I am going to have to cancel my appointment.  YAY!!!

I was a little nervous about whether or not Rhonda would like it, which was another contributing factor to it not being quilted.  However, Rhonda loved it so I'll get it quilted when I get back home and mail it back to her.  She says she can use it on her big harvest table until time for her 4th of July decorating.

So what do you think?  I think the flowers on the picket fence are pretty darn cute.  I'm going to quilt a flower in the plain cream colored blocks in green thread.  I'm not sure why I'm focusing too much on that middle section though.  Rhonda has a large primitive type wooden oblong bowl that she sets in the middle so it will cover up most the the quilting/table runner anyway.  You'll probably only see the flowers on each end anyway.
