Today I worked on catching up on my Log Cabin Houses Block of the Month with Quilts With A Heart.

Last month I brought it with me to MO but I made an oopsie!  I cut out the block for month 2 but tried making the block with the directions for month 1!  Needless to say that didn't work too well and I didn't have any extra fabric with me so I had to wait until I got back home to re-cut the pieces.  In the mean time Month 3 come out and Angela at Quilts With A Heart is planning for her daughter's wedding the 29th of this month so she went ahead and gave us Month 4 too.

Here are my Month 2 blocks.

And my month 3 blocks

And my month 4 blocks.

I love log cabin blocks but I think they are so boring to make.  I figured maybe I'd be okay just making 2 blocks per month and Angela pre-cuts the "logs" so I don't have to dig through my stash to make it scrappy.  However, I do have to dig through my stash for the houses.  But I'm trying to coordinate the houses with the logs cabin blocks for the month so I can narrow my stash busting for the house blocks. Does that make sense?

Yay!  I'm caught up on this BOM..... so far!

  1. Log Cabin blocks and Houses really go well together. I like your colors as well. Creative Quilting Bliss...
