Friday my friend, Angela and I took a short little road trip to Waco, TX to go to the HOT (Heart of Texas) One Stop Shop Hop.  It is kinda neat, no quilts, although I love looking at quilts as much as I love shopping at Quilt Shop Vendor booths.  The doors opened at 10:00 a.m. and we arrived a little ahead at 9:50 a.m.  You know we couldn't be late, we might miss out on a bargain or a fat quarter.
The vendors didn't let us down, they had plenty of lusciousness to drool over.

I would have purchased this kit from one of the vendors but they were out of it.  Wow, even the early bird didn't get this worm quilt kit this time.  :(  Not to worry, I ordered it from them and they are shipping it.  You can't tell it from the pattern here but there are lots of "dimensional" embellishments on the quilt, which is what makes it too stinkin cute.

And then we found this panel.  OH yeessss!  I can now create some of those fabulous projects I've been seeing on the  SHE WHO SEWS blog hop that's going on right now.  Hop on over and See what SHE WHO has been SEWing!  There is some real creativeness going on out there in blog land.

I bought a couple of 1/2 yard cuts to finish my project for the next blog hop.

And a jelly roll for the next, next blog hop
Sew we quilt

And if time permits, this pattern just might come to life for the next, next blog hop.

So we're about to wrap things up and get out of this crowded, crowded convention center full of tempting quilter's candy when I comment to my friend, "Hey I did really good today, I didn't go off the deep end!".
Oops, wrong thing to say, especially when we weren't out of the building yet.  Right by the door, in the deserted hallway, was a lady doing a demo on her new rulers.  Yep, you guessed it.  I'm now the proud owner of those new rulers.  But wait, there's more... Not only am I the proud of owner of these new rulers, but if I purchase today, I will get a free square up ruler, and if I purchase today, she will give me this book with all these patterns in it to use my new rulers AND I can sign up to receive her "rulers of the month"!  What a deal!  Do you really think I could pass that up!  Well NO!  So I will be receiving a new ruler(s) for the next 12 months..... I'm such a sucker smart shopper!  You can see all of Sara's products and order a ruler for yourself here at Sew Inspired.  And if you're a local or up for a road trip, Sara will be presenting at the HOT (Heart of Texas) Quilt Show on April 25, 2014.

Oh well, a good time was had by all and I have new toys!
