There have been a lot of dreary, cold days here lately. The timing on this quilt was perfect. I needed something bright and cheery and fun to look at. I believe it did the trick. Janie does such lovely work.
All of her piecing is perfect. There wasn't one point cut off of any of those flying geese and her applique is perfect too. She really does nice work. She told me she's going to but a scallop border on this. Won't that look so sweet?
Linda has made several of these "Blooming Bricks" pattern. This quilt is going up for silent auction at the Canine, Cats, and Cabernet Fundraiser for the local animal shelter. It should bring a nice amount of money for a great cause.
Lane says she has had this wall hanging hanging in her sewing room for a couple of years now and decided it was time to get it quilted.
Annette's mother (who is 80+ years old) made this string quilt. She paper pieced the squares on newspaper and then removed the newspaper. It was a little "stretchy" once the paper was removed but I worked through it.
I quilted the pattern "sweethearts" using Glide pink thread.
Annette's mother also made this next quilt. She told me it was for a baby boy. I love how scrappy it is.
