Yes, I know it's Thursday but I didn't get things posted last night from my UFO sewing day.  I didn't get as much done as I had hoped but maybe my aspirations far exceed my time frame ability.  I seem to always take more than I could possibly do in a week, let alone a day.

I worked on my Farmer's Wives blocks and got the 5 for month #1 finished.  I'm adding the sashing on 2 sides as I go so it will go together quicker in the end.

I even conjured up a deal with my good friend, LaTrelle for another 1/2 yard of striped fabric I needed for my sashing for all the blocks.  I kinda got the cart before the horse and started fussing cutting the stripe fabric, even attached it to one of my blocks and then did the calculations and I was coming up 22 strip sashings short.  YIKES!!!   Ok, no big deal, I'll just call my favorite LQS, Miss Angela at Quilts With A Heart.  I was there not too long ago and thought I remembered seeing some still.   Uhhummm.  No, she doesn't have any more.  But LaTrelle bailed me out.  Thank you so much!

Here are the 5 blocks.  One block is missing the sashing on one side as I sent it with LaTrelle so make sure we had the same fabric.  Are you surprised they are red, white, and blue?

Then I worked on my paper piecing project for the up and coming blog hop .
Sew we quilt
You'll have to come back on my day to share to see what I've been up to.  I got 2 of those blocks done.  And I seem to be developing a pattern here with a fabric shortage.  I don't think I'm going to have enough of a certain fabric to finish it like I wanted.  Another good friend, Nancy thought she had my same fabric but this time I wasn't so lucky.  Nope, she didn't.  She says she knew she had it at one time but must have taken it to the Guild Stash Sale.  Does that tell you how long she and I have had that fabric?   Let's just say a VERY LONG TIME!!!!  Probably a couple of decades or so.

Today I got 2 more blocks finished for the paper piecing project.  That just leaves 2 more to go and then the pieced blocks, which are super easy, peasy.  Tomorrow Angela and I are off to the HOT (Heart of Texas) One Stop Shop Hop in Waco TX.  Our good friend Vickie at More Stars In Comanche was suppose to go with us but something came up.  We will miss her but you know that will still have lots of fun!
