LONGARM QUILTING #1 OF 2014

I really have done some quilting in the New Year.  It doesn't seem like I've done much though.  It's been busy and there have been numerous deadlines I've been trying to meet with blogs, donation quilts, etc.

Linda made this French Roses Quilt last summer at retreat and brought it to me before Christmas to quilt.  I quilted it and took it back to her at retreat last week.

Jessica made this scrappy stars quilt from fat quarters (I think that's what she told me).  I quilted a meandering feather on it with mother goose thread.

Jessica also made this very modern looking quilt which is much prettier in person.  It's called Pixie Sticks.  The picture doesn't do the color justice.  It is a pretty minty green and gray.  This picture makes it look dull and drab and that's far from reality with it.

I quilted a vine panto  in  Magic Mint colored thread.

Rose is going to send this quilt to China to her family for the Chinese New Year later this month.

In honor of the celebration, I quilted confetti on it in amethyst colored thread.

And Rose is sending this one to China too.  I like how her blacks in the quilt are all scrappy.  Can't tell it unless you zoom in or see it in person.

And a ginkgo leaf is quilted on it with clay pot colored thread.

The ginkgo leaves really show up on the black backing.

Be sure to stop back by next week for the blog hopSew we quiltMy day to post is January 20th.   Tomorrow I'm off to present my first official "Texas Beauties" trunk show at the San Saba Quilt Show.  Stop in and see me if you're in the area.  Have a great weekend.
