ANOTHER FUN RETREAT

The Loose Threads girls did it again.  We ran off to Wimberley TX to our favorite retreat spot this weekend.  I know I've said it before, but I'm saying it again, The Wimberley Quilt Ranch is awesome.  Diane has thought of everything for us quilters.  The facilities are so nice.  And the company I kept was the best!  We know how to have a good time.

We celebrated Linda and Vickie's birthday at The Salt Lick BBQ and a trip to B & B Quilt Shop in Buda.  Donna made homemade banana pudding with real whipped cream for dessert.  Yum! Yum!

We even got a little sewing done.   I worked on a project for the Kona Cotton Blog Hop
Sew we quilt I'll give you a little teaser but you'll have to come back on January 20th (that's my day to blog) to see the finished product.

Then I made my first 3 blocks in a new BOM I'm participating in with Angela at Quilts With A Heart.  It's going to be a Log Cabin House Quilt.  Each month you get strips to make 2 log cabin blocks and directions to make the house block from your stash scraps.

I also put the binding on this quilt for my first official trunk show "Texas Beauties" at the San Saba Quilt Show.

And then I worked on setting the donation quilt together for the Brownwood Quilters Guild.
Once that was done, I started on the applique for the borders.  When it's complete, you will want to get your chance to win it so it can be your very own.  They are only $1 each or 6 for $5.  You can get them from me or any other Guild member.
