I'm finally back!  I really thought I would be able to post while at the Houston Livestock Show this past week but internet at our hotel was terrible.  I could get on the internet but I couldn't move around once I was on without it timing out.  So loading pictures or anything else was out of the question even if I could get to my blog site.  I do apologize but there really wasn't anything I could do about it.  It was a fun but hectic week.

Needless to say, I didn't use anything from my stash this week, but I did add 5 yards of cival war fabric for my stash for my Little Jo's Club that I belong to.  It was a really good price and I just couldn't pass it up.  If fabric is less than $5 a yard and it isn't an ugly betty fabric, I'm adding it to my stash.  At $5 a yard, that's less than half price and who cares if it's not the latest and greatest.  By the time I get around to using it, it won't be the latest and greatest anyway.  It will just be less expensive than the current price.

Used this week:  0 yards
Used this year to date:  44.125 yards

Added this week:  5 yards
Added this year to date:  31.125 yards

Net used in 2013 to date:  13 yards

How is your stash busting coming along?  Leave me a comment and let me know how you're doing.

  1. When my granddaughter was younger she wanted to go to a "cow store". We found a livestock auction and took her and she had a blast, she was sad though as we didn't bring any cows home, I didn't realize that was why she wanted to go!

  2. Definitely understand "not the latest and greatest" since I have some of that, intended to be used immediately, that is still on the shelf more than 7 years later (and if I look a bit I can find some more than 20 years old, I'm sure)! Glad you had a good time and came home with a littel something.

  3. Your week sounded like fun. I totally agree with your thoughts on buying fabrics while on sale. WOW, less than $5/yd is a great price. Good numbers on your usage too.

Your comments make my day. I love to hear what you have to say. Please leave me a comment.
