Yesterday was a productive day.  I worked at my part-time job till 10:30 a.m., drove to the Wimberley Quilt Ranch near Wimberley TX and finished the following projects.  It was a bit touch and go for a while getting there as the "little lady in the box", aka Garmin GPS, aka Doris (that's what Gregg calls her because he says she's always telling him where to go just like I do!) sent me on a farm to market road and it was pretty narrow and winding.  For a minute I thought I heard banjos playing!  But I made it safe and sound.

I put the binding on this Quilts of Valor Quilt
I put the friendship border on the shop sample for Front Porch Quilts Shop for the Statewide Quilt Across Texas Shop Hop coming in September.

I put the borders on this Quilts of Valor quilt that William started over a year ago.  He had the center section completed but I can't seem to get him from out in front of the xbox video game to finish the rest.  And Quilts of Valor is begging for quilts right now.

And the last thing I did yesterday was make the "boards" for the skateboard quilt my customer Joyce from Waco TX has commissioned me to make for her grandson.  It was featured in the May/June 12 issue of Quiltmaker Magazine.  And I was even the first one to go to bed and it was just before midnight.

Stay tuned for an update on day 2's adventures and accomplishments at the Quilt Retreat.
