PRAIRIE POINTS ON QUILTS

I have never made prairie points on the edge of a quilt.  I have always admired them and they are on my "quilt bucket list".  I was cruising the Internet and found this really neat video on YouTube about prairie points.  You have to check it out here.  She makes it look so easy.  I'm going to have to definitely do this soon.

Then I went to theniftyneedle.com and clicked on her book Prairie Point Pizzazz and oh my goodness.  There are some nifty ideas here.  Then it occurred to me.  I've never made prairie points around the edge of a quilt but I did make them for Santa's beard on this Christmas quilt and the 3 dimension on his beard just "made the quilt".  And it really is as easy is she makes it look in the video.  Too bad I didn't know her technique back then.   And I love the prairie point flying geese border.  I have a quilt in mind to do this on.  I can't wait to show you.
