There isn't much on my design wall as I finished up everything for the Little Princess. I am collecting "special" fabrics for my next Texas Quilt called Texas Favorites. It is designed and sold exclusively at the Houston Street Mercantile in Granbury TX. Here is a picture of what I'm working towards. I have a cream/tan toile that has a Texas scenery on it for the background of the barbed wire on the top and the bottom, I have a wood grain print for the brown border and sashing, and I have a weathered looking cream fabric for the state. Not sure when I'll get to start on it yet but I'm hoping it will be soon.
That's going to be a pretty quilt - are you appliqueing the pictures?
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried applique but the state blocks at P3 Designs are very pretty (Texas is the middle block on the second row):

Rita, yes the blocks are appliqued. Thanks for the link for the blocks from P3 Designs. I just ordered it. I love the Texas one. And it does my heart good to hear you are enjoying following my blog. I hope I can continue to entise you and not lead you astray! lol
