NEW QUILTER'S QUILTS

I'm back safe and sound from my zigzag across Texas with the FFA Contest kids.  We had a fun time and the kids learned a lot.  William came home pumped and excited about a career in horticulture and the possibility of a college he hasn't ever considered before.

Just before I left, I finished up these two quilts for Debora A in Buda.  I think, if I remember correctly, she is a new quilter and she is having a ball!  She called to tell me she has another quilt ready and I didn't even have the first two finished.

This one is for her granddaughter and it is such a happy quilt.  The sun's are smiling!  I quilted ladybugs on it in red thread.

And the fabric in this one brings back memories from the 1970's with the peace signs.  I quilted wind swirls in latte thread on it.
