MINI QUILT SHOW FROM HOUSTON LIVESTOCK SHOW
We are home from the Houston Livestock Show, a little tired and road weary. William had a great experience showing his goat. We didn't make the cut or place but we learned a few things and had a good time too. I had a little treat myself; there was a display of the quilt entries. Here are a few of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
You know I'm a sucker for a Texas theme. This quilt was just adorable. I have some hand embroidered cowboy blocks that I think I might use this layout with. There were also a couple of other Texas themed quilts that I didn't take a picture of as I have those quilts in my collection already.
And a tried and true Texas flag quilt. Do you see the state quilted on the red/white section. Very stunning! I wish that I could have gotten a better picture but I was taking all of these pictures through a glass showcase. I have a flag quilt I haven't quilted yet. I might have to figure out how to do something similar.
