ACCOMPLISHED

It's not often that I accomplish in a day what I set out to do.  It's not that I'm not productive; I just get sidetracked sometimes!  This morning I wanted to work on my "Pieces of Texas" quilt blocks, finish quilting the "Texas Traditions" quilt and go to the Central Methodist Hamburger Luncheon and Bazaar.  Well today I did it all!  YEAH!!!

These are the blocks in my "Pieces of Texas Quilt"  I have the off white flying geese completed - the time consuming part, now just need to connect them with the 6" blocks.  I have the red 9 patch blocks section completely done.  And I have 10 of the 12 blue rail fence blocks complete.  However, believe it or not, I ran out of blue fabrics.  I have almost completely depleted my navy blue stash.  I only need 12 more 2 1/2" x 12 1/2" strips for the remaining 2 blocks.  I may have to raid my friends stashes to finish this.

The hamburger luncheon was good and the Bazaar managed to get $14 of my hard earned cash. I bought a little counted cross stitched quilt on a miniature quilt rack for only $4 and I bought $10 worth of raffle tickets for a hand quilted grandmother's flower garden quilt.  I know what you're thinking or at least Gregg was thinking .... just what she needs is another quilt!  A girl can't have too many quilts can she?  Well, no one has called me to claim my prize yet... DARN!

And last, but not least, I finished quilting the "Texas Traditions" quilt too.  As soon as I get the binding sewn on, I will post pictures of it.

Wonder what tomorrow will bring after I get home from church!?
