Welcome Back

As you can see, I haven't blogged in over a year. I was off to a great start and then I fell off the wagon! However, I'm back! I am focused this time and have goals set about blogging and building my business.

Yesterday I went to Waco to the Hobbs Batting Factory to pick up a couple of rolls of batting. When I returned home my husband, Gregg asked me why it took so much longer this time. You see, he went with me the last time we went. Welll..... I had to confess, I took in a couple of quilt shops in the Statewide "Quilt Across Texas" shop hop. "Tomorrow's Quilts" was only a few blocks away from Hobbs so who could resist? I was very good there. I bought a couple of yards of red, white, and blue fabric for a border on a quilt I'm working on. I know, surprise, surprise, I bought red, white and blue. I can't help it, it's my favorite! Then I got a nice surprise when I checked out. The shop was giving away a free pattern to the shop sample quilt they had made with the featured "Quilt Across Texas" fabrics. Whoo Hoo!!! Here is the fabric I bought.

Well, since I was so close and "Quilting Cousins" in Clifton was less than 30 miles away; in Texas that's translates to "just across the street", I made a little detour to Clifton. They are the most fun pair of ladies I've met in a long time and a very cute little shop too. I was pleasantly surprises. Of course I couldn't leave without buying something too. I really did need this! I bought a panel and border fabric for a baby quilt for my new grandbaby that is due to arrive in a couple of weeks. I had been struggling with an idea for her (btw, it's suppose to be a girl) and when I saw this I knew it was perfect. Now I have no idea how I'm going to set it together but you'll see in a few days I'm sure. I have to get going on it, time is short here! I also bought a pink minkie backing.
